Terms of Use

These are the docking rules for SPAWNPORT GAME STATION. Booking a pod, dropping in to play, or using spawnport.online means you have read this flight manual and agree to fly by it. We have kept it human — no wall of legalese, just the terms that actually matter for a night at the port.

What SPAWNPORT is

SPAWNPORT is a sci-fi PC gaming club at 50 Rundle Mall, Adelaide. What we sell is time on a gaming station — a pod — by the hour and by the block. Every seat runs the same fast build, so choosing a room is about mood, not machine. We do not sell physical goods, hardware or downloads; there is nothing to ship. Your booking buys you a seat and the time on it, nothing else.

Booking a pod

You reserve a pod through the booking form on the home page or by emailing the crew. A reservation is a request until we confirm it by email; once we reply to hold the seat, your dock is booked for the room and block you chose. Bookings are held under the name and email you give, so use ones you can actually be reached at. If the port is full for the slot you want, we will say so rather than overbook a bay.

Rates and paying

Current rates are shown on the home page — single dock by the hour, long-haul blocks, and twin docks priced per pair. The price you see is the price at the desk. Pod time is paid in person when you arrive or when you finish your session; the website takes no payment and stores no card details. We may adjust rates from time to time, and the rate that applies is the one displayed at the time of your visit.

Turning up and timing

Please arrive close to the start of your block so the crew can dock you cleanly. If you are running late, a held pod may be released after a reasonable grace period so it is not sitting dark while others wait. Your paid time runs from when your session starts; overruns roll into the next hour at the standard rate if the bay is free, or wind up if another pilot is booked in behind you.

House conduct

The port only works because everyone keeps it civil. Treat the crew, other pilots and the pods with respect. Do not install software, plug in unknown drives, tamper with pod hardware, or try to bypass the machine's setup — every pod is rebuilt to the same clean state between sessions and we need it to stay that way. Harassment, threats, theft, or being disruptive to the room will get your session ended. We can refuse or end service to keep the port safe and playable.

Age and content

Games carry age ratings, and it is on you to play what is appropriate for you. Minors are welcome to play age-appropriate titles; the crew may ask that a parent or guardian be reachable, and we will not knowingly let an under-age pilot load a game rated above their age. The port is a shared room, so keep on-screen content and voice comms suitable for a public space.

Your booking and your data

There is no login to create — a booking is just a name, an email and a slot. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. How we handle those details is set out in our Privacy Policy, and how refunds and changes work is in our Refund Policy.

Your own gear and belongings

You are welcome to bring a headset, mouse or other peripheral, but you plug it in at your own risk and the crew is not responsible for gear you connect. Keep an eye on your belongings; the port is a busy public place and we cannot watch every bag. Lost property handed in is held at the desk for a reasonable time — email the crew if you leave something behind.

Liability

We run the port carefully, but nothing here removes the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. To the extent the law allows, SPAWNPORT is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — for example lost ranked progress, a dropped match, or a save that did not sync — arising from a session. If our service falls short of a consumer guarantee, we will make it right as the law requires.

Changes to these terms

We may update this flight manual as the port evolves. The version on this page is always the current one, and continuing to book and play after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about anything here go to [email protected]. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.
